- Welcome to the English section
- Here you can find some information on Holland's most notorious family, the Flodders.
The family starred in three feature films and 62 television episodes.
The movies:
FLODDER (1986), FLODDER DOES MANHATTAN (1991) and FLODDER 3 (1995).
FLODDER had 2.313.701 admissions and is the most successful Dutch movie of the last twenty years. It was released all over the world and still is shown on television everywhere.
The television series started in 1993 and ran till 1997. It was a tremendous success right from the start and the episodes are still running on Dutch television. The series was also shown on German television.
The series was created by Dick Maas and mostly written by him in cooperation with Wijo Koek.
- A short description of the movies:
FLODDER
- A rather a-social family, gets a chance to live in an upper-class neighbourhood. As they are not accepted by the snobs living there, they get in all sorts of trouble.
FLODDER DOES MANHATTAN
- The mayor of Sunny Dale see a chance to get rid of the Flodder family: They send the asocial bunch for an international exchange to New York. There they get confused with a Russian delegation of medical doctors while the street worker Werner who accompanies them becomes imprisoned.
FLODDER 3 (a.k.a. FLODDER FOREVER)
- Back from their trip abroad, the family must meet the people of the neighborhood while preparing for the 25th anniversary of Zonnedael. Ma falls in love with a bum that is not exactly what he seems to be.
